When the breath and the infusion of prana is easy and liberated, the mind becomes quiet. Come discover what we need to unlock in our body and where we need to focus the mind in order to free the breath and absorb prana. This is the laboratory to understand the main blockages that impede the breath and prana, and how to use our asana practice to remove these obstacles. Once these fundamentals are understood and observed, the yoga practice becomes subtle and integrated.

Learn how to root into the earth in your seated twists so that you can rise and spiral up effortlessly. Integrate your legs, pelvis, and arms into the twist of your torso so the twists are healthy for your spine and your vital organs. Utilize the feeling of the ebb and flow of your breath to maximize the benefits of the twists. Doing these poses in this way will teach you how to be observant and gentle.

Learn the basic restorative practices of Urban Zen Integrative Therapy that optimize the restorative powers of the mind-body. As we weave subtle movement, restorative poses, breath awareness, and body focused meditation, we find the exponential power that comes in overlaying these practices. We must practice relaxation in order to fully participate in life. Come get some rest and learn how to restore.
