This class is an in-depth immersion and fun-filled exploration of the dynamic system of Ashtanga Yoga. Step by step, we'll explore the minute details of the practice, from Sun Salutations to Savasana. Even if you don't practice Ashtanga, you'll find a multitude of powerful and useful information you can apply to your personal journey of yoga. This fun-filled and energetic class includes partner work as well as plenty of laughter woven into the wealth of knowledge and information. Great for beginners or those who are already familiar with the practice.

First Series Flow: All Aboard the Ashtanga Train

This class is designed for those already familiar with the First Series of Ashtanga Yoga yet it is open to all levels of proficiency. It will be conducted like a train ride that will continue flowing from the opening Sun Salutations to the closing sequence. Prior to the practice session, David will present alternatives to some of the more challenging asanas of the First Series as well as give some user-friendly options for vinyasa-challenged individuals needing other methods than the standard jumping techniques. There will be time at the end of the flow to enjoy a deep relaxation. Hop on the train and enjoy the ride! **This class has been approved by American Council on Exercise (ACE) for 0.2 CECs.**

Go on a guided tour of select asanas from the Primary, the Intermediate, and even the Advanced Series. If you are not familiar with the more challenging postures, there is no need to be scared of them! Many people are frightened of or intimidated by the Second Series of Ashtanga Yoga. But it is truly one of the most fun sequences in yoga! We'll move through as much of the Second Series practice as seems appropriate for the group. Along the way, David will offer alternatives, guidance, and explanations of methods and techniques to make the Second Series asanas feel more accessible and user friendly. This class gives you a great way to experience the dynamics of Second Series in a safe and fun environment. **This class has been approved by American Council on Exercise (ACE) for 0.2 CECs.**

Students should have a regular practice of the First Series.



Flying, Floating, and Handstanding

One of the greatest challenges of the Ashtanga flow is the vinyasa. In this class, David will break the vinyasa down into its basic components and explore techniques for creating greater lightness and efficiency while using less effort to achieve greater ease. We'll also explore the elements of handstands and arm balances, offering methods that allow for greater confidence and less fear in these poses. Class includes partner work, lots of information, and laughter. All levels may attend, even if you have never done a handstand before. Alternatives are always given. **This class has been approved by American Council on Exercise (ACE) for 0.2 CECs.**

Savasana is much more than a deep sleep: it's an opportunity to let go of fatigue, assimilate the benefits from your yoga practice, and adopt a state of profound meditation. You'll be guided through a simple inward journey designed to show you how to relax, release, and unwind while drinking deep from the internal glow of prana after a weekend of yoga immersion.
