Nikki Costello Costello is a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher. She has been teaching yoga for 20 years and was previously certified in Jivamukti Yoga and Anusara Yoga. For eight years, she taught exclusively for the SYDA Foundation as a hatha yoga and meditation teacher. As part of the organization, she taught hatha yoga in retreats and events in North America, South America, Europe, India, and China. In 2005, she returned to New York City, where she currently teaches at Kula Yoga in Tribeca and Williamsburg, Brooklyn. She is an adjunct faculty member of the Iyengar Yoga Institute of Brooklyn and a guest teacher at Virayoga, Laughing Lotus, and Pure Yoga. Nikki is passionate about sharing her study and practice of yoga. She continues to lead retreats and workshops all over the world and this year is honored to be writing Yoga Journal's Basics column.
