Yoga Conference

Shannon Paige lives fully as an author and a student, sacred activist, motivational speaker, and dedicated teacher of integrated, expressive flow yoga. She is the founder of Anjali Restorative Yoga, Bala Therapeutic Yoga, and Bhava Yoga for Depression and Anxiety. Moved by the power of words, stories, myths, the symbolic nature of Tantra, and mystic poetry, she interweaves her students' unique, purpose- driven inspiration into the divine play of body and breath to unlock the secret wisdom held within the heart. Her classes and trainings are dedicated to a sense of mystery and wonder within a vinyasa of self-honoring, self-cultivation, and radical self-participation. Shannon tours, teaches, and speaks nationally and internationally. Learn more at embodiedpoetry.com.

Everything looks different when we see it from the opposite view. Handstand is no different. This particular pose strikes either the fascination or the fear within yoga practitioners. We'll delve into the essential actions that we must stride toward to short-circuit the natural "rubber side down" mode of the brain. The result will be a dynamic sequence and a completely opposite view of our self-perceived limitations. Come embody a new degree of confidence, strength, and curiosity.

Mostly asana.

What does the goddess of the dawn want? She asks for nothing but your first thought, your initial intention, and your offering into the day. Let not your first thought practices be ones of worry, doubt, or fear. Begin each day with an offering you would make worthy to the dawn herself. Gather yourself from your slumber toward an organic and intentional unfolding of body and breath, as we are mused by the goddess of the dawn, Usas, and her stories. We'll form clear awareness and match it to the attention of facing full forward in asymmetrical postural study, connectivity, and flow to set a body memory for each day that follows.

Mostly asana.
